On January 21st 2006 at the Beaches Sports Centre skating rink Paul
Rosen, an accomplished athlete who has triumphed over serious emotional and
physical challenges, hosted a positive, fun-filled event for the Big Brothers
and Big Sisters of Toronto (BBBST). The afternoon event was jam-packed with
activities including energetic ice games, demonstrations by Team Canada's National
sledge hockey players, and a presentation by Paul Rosen about overcoming
adversity.

The Canadian men's sledge hockey team won its first-ever gold medal at the 2006 Paralympic Games in spectacular fashion on 18 March 2006, beating the powerful Norwegian squad 3-0.
