Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto (BBBST) presented Bowl For Kids Sake Media/Corporate Day on February 11, 2006, at Playtime Bowl, 33 Samor Road.
All photo images were taken by Radiant Spectrum Photography but photographs selected for gallery publication was determined by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto,based on their media guidelines & restrictions.
The goal this year was to raise $80,000 in proceeds that will go directly towards matching children with carefully-screened and caring mentors – Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters affect children at a pivotal point in their lives and can change the course of their future. Research on the impact and success of their programs shows that 84% of the kids enrolled in BBBST’s Original Program plan to attend university or college. 46% of these children have an increased likelihood to avoid alcohol and other drugs.
Teams joining in the fun included members from the Toronto Fire Department, Canadian Navy, CHIN, THE NEW COUNTRY 95.3, FLOW 93.5, Z103.5, CLASSICAL 96.3FM, 680 News, CTV, Global TV and NBC Universal. Corporations also participated – including more than 15 bowling teams of AIM Trimark employees. Also attending were two bowlers, Aaron Davis and Bernie Feldberg,who bowled for 12 hours straight in support of BFKS.
