Festival participants had fun learning danzón and watching pre-Columbian and folkloric dancers, enjoyed the music of mariachis, rock, salsa, and feasted on the authentic taste of Mexican food. Also, a replica of the Mayan Pyramid of Chichen-Itza – finalist to the New Wonders of the World – was built right on Dundas Square.

The First Mexican Cultural Festival was held at Yonge and Dundas Square, on June 30th, 2007.
