Festival participants had fun learning danzón and watching pre-Columbian and folkloric dancers, enjoyed the music of mariachis, rock, salsa, and feasted on the authentic taste of Mexican food. Also, a replica of the Mayan Pyramid of Chichen-Itza finalist to the New Wonders of the World was built right on Dundas Square.
The First Mexican Cultural Festival was held at Yonge and Dundas Square, on June 30th, 2007.
